Head of School
I am a mother of 5 kids, 4 that are currently enrolled in One Room. I grew up in Clyde America and graduated from Clyde High School. Then I attended college at McMurry University in Abilene for my Undergraduate Degree in Education EC-8. I returned to school to pursue my Masters at Abilene Christian University in Curriculum and Instruction. I have been a part of the education field since 2005 in some capacity. In that time I have experienced many different roles including classroom teacher (grades 3rd-6th), substitute teacher (K-8th grades), and special education assistant (middle school). I have worked with babies all the way to high school students. My passion has and always will be education!
“Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.” – Albert Einstein
My goal and vision is to give each student an individualized education that fits their personal interest and skills. I don’t want my students’ to look back and say “I never used this? Why did we learn it?” but rather, “I would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for One Room and them teaching me how to LEARN!”
